There will be a paediatrician present at the birth (or shortly afterwards) to check on your baby, regardless if you are having a vaginal birth or a caesarean section. While the nurses and gynaecologist attend to the mom, the paediatrician’s focus is on the baby and on making sure your little one is doing fine and adjusting well to life outside the womb.
New parents can choose their own paediatrician and arrange this with their gynaecologist. You are welcome to contact the My Kids Doc practice and meet us prior to the birth, or to discuss any issues that your gynaecologist might have picked up during one of your routine scans. It is our privilege to take care of your baby from day one, and to provide you with expert guidance and quality medical care.
